Certificate distribution for the first batch and formal commencement of second batch of multi skill training programme

On 26th July 2024, the certificate distribution for the first batch and the formal commencement of the second batch of the Multi Skill Training Programme were held at Alex Hall of Rajagiri College at 10:30 am. The first batch comprised 20 students, while the second batch included 21 students. Mr. Rajeev S R, State Director of RCSD, welcomed the dignitaries, students, and staff to the program and provided a brief overview about the programme for the new candidates. The Sahrudaya Chairman Fr. Shinto Thalian CMI presided over the meeting, commending the first batch for their success and suggesting they contribute a portion of their first salary to support the next batch’s education.

Rev. Fr. Benny Nalkkara CMI, Provincial of SH Province, inaugurated the event, congratulating the first batch on their achievements and wishing the second batch great success. Following his address, the Provincial and Sahrudaya Chairman distributed certificates to all graduating students and offer letters to those who had secured jobs. Additionally, study materials were given to two representatives of the new batch, symbolizing an enlightening beginning for all. Out of the 20 students in the first batch, 12 had already been placed in various companies, marking a significant accomplishment.

The Multi Skill Training Programme is a new initiative by Rajagiri Sahrudaya, in collaboration with CEVA (Cyriac Elias Voluntary Association) and with the support of RCSD (Rajagiri Centre for Skill Development). This project aims to help women and young people develop their employability skills and secure jobs, thereby enabling them to support themselves financially. By equipping participants with essential skills and providing placement opportunities, the program fosters economic independence and personal growth.
