Sahrudaya Services & Charities has consistently prioritized the empowerment and well-being of women. Over the past several years, Sahrudaya has effectively managed 12 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across 3 centres. Within these centres, 7 SHGs operate in Vallakom, while 2 SHGs are active in Kottarappally and 3 in Manappuram respectively. One of the most significant activities of these SHGs is their weekly investment and the provision of loans from the SHG’s fund during members’ emergencies. This financial support mechanism has been crucial in addressing immediate needs and fostering economic stability among the members. The LF Tailoring Centre in Manappuram is a recent initiative launched by SHG members.
