Rajagiri Sahrudaya, in collaboration with CEVA (Cyriac Elias Voluntary Association) and with the help of RCSD (Rajagiri Centre for Skill Development), has launched a Multi Skill Training Programme to empower youth in our community. The programme was inaugurated on May 22, 2024, at 10:00 am in Alex Hall, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, supported by CEVA, Ernakulam.
Mr. Rajiv S. R., State Director of RCSD, welcomed all the dignitaries and the audience. The programme was presided over by Fr. Shinto Thalian CMI, the Sahrudaya Chairman, who encouraged participants to maintain a positive attitude and sportsman spirit throughout the training programme. He emphasized Sahrudaya’s belief in the power of empowerment and shared success stories of women who have improved their living conditions through jobs obtained via RCSD courses.
The event was inaugurated by Fr. BijuVadakkel CMI, Director of CEVA. Around 12:00 pm, the RCSD mobilization coordinator, Mr.Shyam Prakash P.S., gave a vote of thanks to adjourn the meeting.
The project’s goal is to help women and young people develop their employability skills and find jobs to support themselves financially. This will allow them to maintain their way of life. It focuses on underprivileged and marginalized groups, providing them with quality training for employment. The first batch of 20 participants and their parents attended the meeting. Officials from Rajagiri Sahrudaya, CEVA, and RCSD were also present at the inaugural ceremony.
